Kumasi, March 22, GNA- Apostle Dr Micheal Kwabena Ntumy, Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, has called on Christians to love God and their neighbours in a sacrificial manner.

He said whilst Christians reflected on the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, they should also renounce pride, adultery, lies, wickedness and all negative behaviours that were not inconsonance with the word of God.

Apostle Dr Ntumy was preaching the sermon to open a four-day Easter convention, organized by the New Tafo Area of the Church, in Kumasi on Easter Friday.

The Clergyman said Christ died on the Cross to atone for the sins of humankind and urged Christians to reciprocate His sacrifice by forgiving those who sinned against them.

Apostle Dr Ntumy urged Christians to be prayerful and to walk under the Cross to enable them to receive the power of Christ.

He said the Cross symbolised holiness, righteousness, victory over satanic forces, forgiveness, reconciliation between God and man and power over sickness and death.

Apostle Dr. Ntumy called on African politicians to reconcile with one another, unite and struggle for the common good of their people.

Apostle Rigwell Ato Addison, the New Tafo Area Head of the Church, called on Christians to obey God to enable them to receive His Grace.

Pastor Alex Abrafi, Mamponteng District Pastor and Head of the Area's Children's Movement of the Church, led the congregation to pray for the Church and the nation. The Convention, which was under the theme, "Jesus Christ,

The Man who broke the Veil," was being attended by over

20,000 members of the Church from the New Tafo Area.
