Kumasi, Jan. 24, GNA - Reverend Iddrisu Tweneboah-Kodua, Minister in-charge of Assemblies of God Church Ghana Missionary in the US, has urged Christians to intensify evangelism to help transform the Ghanaian society.

He said evangelism had the potential to salvage society from social vices. Reverend Tweneboah-Koduah made the call at a crusade organised by the leadership of Old Tafo Gospel Centre Assemblies of God Church in Kumasi. The three-day crusade was under the theme "Prepare to meet Your God".

He said it was unfortunate that with the proliferation of churches immorality especially among the youth had increased. Reverend Tweneboah-Koduah called on government to be transparent and accountable to the people through effective utilisation of State resources. He appealed to Ghanaians to contribute their quota towards the country's development by being law-abiding, truthful and honest in their endeavours.

Reverend Tweneboah-Koduah emphasized the need for well-meaning Ghanaians to show love and compassion for the needy in society and support them to improve their living standards. Reverend John Kwabena Boachie, Minister in-charge of Old Tafo branch of Gospel Centre Assemblies of God Church, said other activities planned in connection with the crusade include a clean up exercise, presentation at Tafo Government Hospital and free medical screening exercise for the church members and the public.
