Winneba, May 28, GNA - The Parish Priest In-Charge of the Winneba Dioceses of the Catholic Church, the Reverend Father Robert Oduro, has cautioned Ghanaians, especially Christians, against the reliance of "Juju" and other satanic powers for the promotion of their businesses, marriages and spiritual protection.

He said, people who profess to be followers of the Christian faith should not develop any interest or love for the works of the devil because such "double game," combining Biblical guidelines with demonic powers would rather worsen their plights in the course of their lives. Rev. Father Oduro was launching formerly, a nine-day special prayer programme to prepare the grounds for this year's Pentecostal Day celebration, which comes off next Sunday, May 30.

The programme, which started five days ago, is aimed at drawing Christians more closer to the Biblical tenets and how to utilise the power in God's word to improve their social, economic and spiritual well-being and prevent them from falling victims to satanic influences. Rev. Father Oduro said there is no power in the heavens, on the earth and under the universe which supersedes that of God, and advised Christians not to bow in any way to the devil for assistance.

He said, the best antidote for all their social, economic and spiritual problems lies in regular and intensive prayers backed by hard work and above all, strict obedience to the commandments of God as directed by the Holy Bible.
