Miremano (B/A) Jan. 27, GNA - The small town of Miremano in Jaman South district in Brong Ahafo was on Thursday thrown into a state of confusion and shock when an elder of the Church of Pentecost allegedly shot himself dead with a single-barreled gun. Kwadwo Takyi, 33, allegedly shot himself in his room in the early hours of the day after several failed attempts to commit suicide. A family source said the late elder woke up very early in the morning and instructed his wife, Satta, to get out and prepare some dish and warm water to take his bath. The wife was at the kitchen preparing the food when she heard an unusual noise in the husband's room and when she rushed there she found him in a pool of blood. She immediately reported the incident to the police at Drobo, the source added. Detective Inspector Samuel Nii Sarkwah, District Crime Officer, told newsmen a letter found in the deceased's pocket indicated that he was indebted to the tune of two million cedis and his creditors had threatened court action against him.
