Church to complete project

Awutu-Bawjiase, June 14, GNA - Members of the Awutu-Bawjiase branch of the Methodist church, Ghana, have intensify efforts to completed their new temple estimated at about 550 million cedis. To this end, the church is organising a number of mini-harvests to generate enough funds to realize its dreams.

Very Rev. Paul Kweku Kantamantu Botchey, Syuperintendent Minister in-charge of the Bawjiase Methodist Church said this when he launched this year's annual harvest of the Church at Awutu-Bawjiase on Sunday. Very Rev Botchey advised members to remain committed and faithful to God and pray harder for national peace, stability and progress at all levels. He reminded Christians in general, not to forget that whatever they do they would be individually accountable at the appropriate time before the Creator and therefore, learn to do the right things all the time.

Mr David William Dadzie, Secretary to the Church, expressed gratitude to members for their understanding and co-operation and advised that they sustained the spirit to help harvest committee mobilize adequate funds to complete the project as soon as possible. Mr. Dadzie said the first phase of the project had been completed, adding that it would reach roofing stage by the end of the month. He appealed to members outside and well-wishers to contribute generously towards the project. The target for this year's harvest is 150 million cedis.
