Churches commended for supporting government development agenda

Sunyani, Dec. 7, GNA - The Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Nana Kwadwo Seinti has commended churches for complimenting the government's development agenda.

He said the government was appreciative of schools, health facilities, water systems and other development projects the churches have been providing for the communities. The Minister assured the churches of continued healthy collaboration for the betterment of the citizenry. He was speaking at a meeting to welcome the Chief Secretary Lt. Col. Peter Dali and his wife Lt. Col. Jessica Dali, Territorial Secretary for Women's Ministries (TSWM) of the Salvation Army Church at Sunyani.

The Dali couple both Kenyans who are on duty tour of the country paid a familiarisation visit to branches of the Church in the Brong Ahafo Region.

They took appointment in Ghana about a year ago and were highly impressed about the development of the Church in the Region and expressed gratitude to the government for creating congenial atmosphere for them to grow.

Capt. Isaac Justice Incoom, pastor in charge of the Church at Sunyani appealed to the government to expedite action on the extension of electricity to the area to enable it to embark on some programmes to improve the financial position of members. The chief secretary later commissioned the local officers of the Church.
