Churches set to pray for Ghana July 1

Ghana’s most influential minister of the gospel, Archbishop N. Duncan Williams will be leading colleague ministers in prevailing prayer services for the nation on Republic day July 1, 2016.

The pastors billed for the programme include Bishop James Saah, Bishop Matthew Addae-Mensah, Rev. Dr Ampiah-Kwofi, Rev. Steve Mensah and Rev. Dr. Victor Osei.

The programme is under the theme “Praying for a Divine Outcome for the 2016 Election.”

In a statement signed by the General Secretary of National Association of Charismatic and Christian Churches Bishop Gideon Titi-Ofei, he indicated that ‘But most importantly, we will be praying intensely concerning the upcoming elections having observed the current and previous trends of tension from the media and the anxiety concerning the elections”

The prayer session will be replicated across the regions.

JULY 1ST, A NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER

Ghana’s most influential minister of the gospel, Archbishop N. Duncan Williams is leading colleague ministers including Bishop James Saah, Bishop Matthew Addae-Mensah, Rev Dr Ampiah-Kwofi, Rev Steve Mensah, Rev Dr Victor Osei in prevailing prayer services for the nation on Republic holiday July 1st.

Under the umbrella organization, National Association of Charismatic and Christian Churches (NACCC), the men and women of GOD in partnership with the all-Christian-women fellowship – Aglow Fellowship International will be hosting concurrent prayer services for Ghana, in all ten regions from 10am-4pm and open to all believers in the country.

Exhorting Ghanaians to embrace intercession as the nation prepares to elect its next president, Archbishop Duncan Williams reiterated the biblical instruction in Jeremiah 29:7, “Pray for the peace of the land in which we dwell, for in its peace we shall know peace”.

He charged Ghanaians to look beyond politicians for the solutions to this nation’s myriad problems – “the best way to guarantee this nation’s peace and prosperity is to place the destiny of this nation in the hands of God through prayer”.

The July Ist national prayer services will bring outstanding issues such as frequent flooding, national security, economic fluctuations, price hikes before God that He may intervene in the affairs of this nation.

“But most importantly, we will be praying intensely concerning the upcoming elections having observed the current and previous trends of tension from the media and the anxiety concerning the elections” – the general secretary for NACCC Bishop Gideon Titi Ofei added.
