Another Clandestine Meeting Exposed!
HELP US WIN ELECTIONS-MILLS APPEAL TO POLICE CHIEFS
President Mills must tell Ghanaians the truth about a behinds closed doors meeting he held with regional police commanders on the 21st of February, 2012 at Akuse in the Eastern Region. The IGP,Mr Paul Tawiah Quaye intrestingly was not present at this meeting but present at the meeting were James Bebako Mensah, aide to the President, KokuAnyidoho, Head of Communications at the Presidency, General Nunoo Mensah, National Security Adviser, Army Commander General R.S.Blay, Minister of Defence, General Henry Joesph Smith, , Kofi Totobi Quakyi ,Paul Victor Obeng all advisers to President Mills and Johnson Asiedu Nketia, NDC General Secretary.
At the meeting, President Mills charged the police officers that it was important that the NDC remained in power for another 4 years. He said the government had done well to look after the Police as well as made provisions for them to attend courses abroad and take part in peace missions .He said He will continue to make sure their pensions and other benefits were secured. He also said a benevolent fund was being set up under the supervision of General Nunoo Mensah to reward them handsomely once the election was secured.
Mr Kofi Totobi Quakyi told the police officers that the NDC was the best party to protect their interest. He said the NPP was a selfish organisation that only practiced tribal politics. He said look at Kufuor, did he not only appoint Ashantis and Brongs when he was in office? Did’ nt Kufuor discriminate against you when he appointed Patrick Acheampong from overseas?
Koku Anyidoho told the police that if it wasn’t for the fact that President Mills was a peaceful man Akufo -Addo should be in detention by now for his all die be die statement. He told the police to arrest any NPP executive that tried to interfere with the biometric exercise to start in a month’s time.
While the meeting was going on, Johnson Aseidu Nketia ,NDC General Secretary got up with a Map of Ghana to show the vantage points and areas around that Police commanders and their subordinates to take note.
Mr Nketia said it was important the police take note of vantage points so their security strategy to control security movements during the biometric exercise would work effectively.
All Police Commanders present received a huge black bag with undisclosed items in it. These bags were distributed by James Bebako Mensah, an aide to the President.
