Executive Director of the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA), Sulemana Braimah is of the opinion that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo must have appointed angels given that every accused appointee gets cleared after investigation.

“We keep hearing 'everyone accused in my government has been investigated and cleared.' You must have appointed angels not humans,” he suggested in a post sighted by MyNewsGh.com.

Since 2017 when the President assumed the reins of the presidency, several of his appointees have been cleared of any wrongdoing they had been accused of.

The latest to be cleared is the former interdicted National Coordinator of the School Feeding Programme, Dr Kwame Adu Nsiah.

He had been accused of malpractices and other related matters.

But a report presented by the three-member committee chaired by the Senior Minister, Yaw Osafo Maafo said that no evidence was discovered to corroborate the allegations against the suspended School Feeding boss.

“The Gender and Social Protection Minister, [Cynthia Morrison] was unable to provide any tangible evidence to substantiate the allegation of widespread malpractices,” the report said.

The report indicated that the reason Dr Adu Nsiah did not enjoy an amicable relationship with the Minister was the fact that “the Minister felt slighted by a decision he took when the then supervising Minister, Hajia Alima Mahama directed him to effect third quarter payment against the request of the then nominated Minister, Mrs Cynthia Morrison to withhold payment.”

The Committee however indicated “we feel he acted properly and in line with his authority because Cynthia Morrison was still a nominee awaiting vetting, confirmation and swearing in by the President”, insisting “the Minister would have acted ultra vires if the Coordinator had carried out her instructions.”

One notable person to have been cleared include Deputy Information Minister Pius Enam Hadzide
