Prosper Harrison Addo, the current GFA General Secretary has put blame on the clubs for the issue of unqualified players in the Ghana Premier League saying that they 'don't take their time' to read.

Medeama SC were the first to feel the wrath of breaking the rules when they lost six points for fielding an unqualified player against Great Olympics.

Hearts of Oak and Techiman Eleven Wonders are also in trouble for these offences and their punishments are yet to be given out.

Speaking to Joy FM, Prosper revealed that measures were put in place by the GFA to avoid this and if they did happen then it is the fault of the clubs.

"We have the rules and regulations there but some clubs do not take their time to read well. We have a platform to know players that are cautioned. The FA also writes letters informing clubs on the players that are cautioned per match. There is a system that indicates suspended players so if a club insists on using those players then the fault is on the clubs."
