Former Asante Kotoko and Nkoranza Warriors coach Frimpong Manso has commended Hearts of Oak for signing Ivorian international Eric Dizan.
The Phobians announced the signing of the former Stade d’Abijan player on a three-year deal via their Twitter handle yesterday.
According to Frimpong Manso, he is happy that Hearts of Oak has signed Dizan who plays just like Black Stars and Newcastle United winger Christian Atsu.
“I have coached Hearts of Oak newly signed Eric Dizan in Cote D’ivoire, he was one of the key players at that time and he plays on the wings like Christian Atsu” he told Kumasi based Ashh FM.
He added that he initially recommended the player to Asante Kotoko but the management refused to sign him for CK Akonnor.
“Hearts of Oak have made a good signing. I recommended Eric Dizan to Coach Charles Kwabla Akonnor at Kotoko but the deal didn’t go through due to misunderstanding between CK and Kotoko Management.”
