The Ghana FA on Tuesday named James Kwasi Appiah as coach of the Black Stars, making him one of the few to have made a return to the position.
Appiah, 57, who left the job three years ago, has been announced to begin a new two-year journey from May 1, 2017.
However, sources have revealed the ex-defender also has an option to renew for two years after a review of his performance in 2019.
According to starrsportsgh.com sources, Kwasi Appiah’s return will see him earn $40,000 as monthly salary.
The Ghana FA also will provide the coach a fully furnished apartment as well as an official vehicle.
Kwasi Appiah’s major task is to build a competitive national team capable of winning the 2019 Afcon while fancying Ghana’s already difficult chances in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
