Collapsed Firms Are Drug-Dependent - MP

The Member of Parliament for Adenta Hon. Ben Adu-Asare has said, all small scale firms that have grinded to a collapse were into the illicit drugs trade, hence their collapse under the Prof. JEA Mills-led administration.

The MP who was just recently blown off in the race for re-election by his Party in his constituency, shocked a mass of listeners of Peace FM radio station’s morning show hosted by Kwame Sefa-Kayi, when he claimed that no company doing genuine business has run aground as a result of the high cost of tariffs and taxes, except those companies that were into illicit drug trade or questionable business.

He said, everything was going on well under the current administration and nobody could claim things were rough and though to the extent of culminating in the collapse of companies.

However when the MP’s attention was drawn to reconcile his previous pronouncement to collapsed furniture firms in his constituency, he failed to associate them with his so-called illicit drug trade.

Some small scale business owners who spoke to THE SUN were shocked about the outburst from the MP, who is not noted for such reckless pronouncement that has the propensity to drive passions to the abyss of hell.
