The New Patriotic Party Parliamentary (NPP) Candidate for Asunafo South, Frank Aduse Poku, has issued a warning against violence to his opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) counterparts, Eric Opoku and Collins Dauda, emphasizing that no one is above the law.

Hon. Aduse Poku, who also serves as the District Chief Executive of Asunafo, stated that Eric Opoku, who is the godson of Collins Dauda, has teamed up with him to disturb the peace enjoyed by the people of Asunafo South.

His comments follow the arrest of the Member of Parliament for Asutifi South, Hon. Alhaji Collins Dauda, by the Ghana Police Service. Dauda was apprehended for his alleged involvement in disturbances that occurred at Kukuom in the Ahafo Region during the ongoing Limited Voter Registration Exercise on Saturday, 11th May 2024.

One person sustained injuries and is currently receiving treatment at the hospital in connection with the incident.

Aduse Poku asserts that the people of Asunafo South are united against violence and will ensure that the police work to restore peace, as no one is above the law.

"No one is above the law! His godson, Eric Opoku (MP), is losing, so Alhaji Collins Dauda has to come in with his thugs to add to those of his godson to attack my people! Eric Opoku (MP), who is the classical definition of a devil, was also invited by the police to the Police Regional Headquarters in Goaso," he wrote.

"Naasei (CEO of Zeniel Hotel, Goaso), who was part of these thugs and is an appendage of these two bloodthirsty politicians, is on the run. He can run but can never hide!

"All the other thugs have been identified and will be arrested by the police! The masses are united; the youth are poised! God has already chosen His leader for the constituency. God is in control!

Asunafo South!" the brief statement concluded.
