Asankranguaa (Western Region), 15 Oct. The Chairman of the District Council Primary School Parent/Teacher Association of Nkwantanum in Wassa-Amenfi District, has appealed to the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service to post teachers to the school to ensure its smooth running. Making the appeal through the Ghana News Agency at Asankranguaa, Mr. Francis Kofi Mantey, the PTA chairman, said the school has only one teacher for the six classes. He said Nkwantanum, a farming community, is more than 15 kilometres away from Asankranguaa and their children cannot walk that distance to attend school there if the school collapses. Meanwhile, the District Peripatetic Officer of the Ghana Education Service, Mr. Eddie Armoh, Junior, has appealed to the Director-General to provide the Wassa-Amenfi Education Office with a motor-bike to enable his outfit organise educational forums for disabled persons in the various communities.
