Ghana president John Dramani Mahama has confirmed all paper works have been concluded for the construction of the New Edubiase Stadium.
Last August, former Sports Minister Dr. Mustapha Ahmed did the official sod cutting for the commencement of work on the construction of a new stadium.
President Mahama during his State of the Nation Address said: “In addition to the construction of the Cape Coast stadium, which has been completed, we have completed the drawings and bills of quantities for the construction of the New Edubiase Sports Stadium.”
If completed, it will serve as the new home of Ghana Premier League side New Edubiase United.
The club have currently adopted the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi for their home matches.
