King of the Ashanti Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has asked the running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang to continue to remain humble.
According to him, her humility and respect for others must guide her political journey just as he witnessed during her days as Vice Chancellor of University of Cape Coast.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II made this known when the running mate of the NDC paid a courtesy call on him at his palace on Friday, September 27, 2024.
On the 2024 election, the great King called for a free and fair election ensuring that all parties involved accept the results to ensure peace in the country.
This was revealed in a post by the NDC running mate.

I had the honour of visiting Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace, where he shared invaluable advice.
He encouraged me to let my humility and respect for others guide my political journey, just as he witnessed during my time as Vice Chancellor at the University of Cape Coast.
Otumfuo also said his doors are open to all parties.
He emphasised the importance of free and fair elections in ensuring that all candidates accept election outcomes gracefully.
I expressed my gratitude for his wise counsel and asked for his continued guidance.
I also had a meaningful conversation with Asantehemaa Nana Konadu Yiadom III, who urged me to advocate women’s issues as we approach the December 7
elections.
Together, let’s strive for progress and build the Ghana we want together.
