Professor George Hagan, Presidential Candidate of the Convention People's Party (CPP), has said that his party is fully committed to making Ghanaians the masters of their own destiny.
He said, "We aim at building a prosperous Ghana in which her people will dictate policy and control their natural endowments for the satisfaction of the needs and aspirations of all."
Professor Hagan was speaking to members of the Planning Committee of the UK Regional branch of the party, on his arrival in London last week.
He said the CPP will facilitate the development of indigenous Ghanaian industry and enterprise as part of its programme to empower the people.
"We must put roofs over the heads of our people, make sure that they have nutritious food, educate their children and take care of their health needs.
"This is the strength of our party and there can be no compromise on these commitments", he said.
Mr. Mike Eghan, third National Vice-Chairman of the party, said the party will surprise the doubting Thomases.
"We are working around the clock to ensure victory in the December elections to make it possible for us to implement our people-centred policies".
Mr. B. B. Osei, Chairman of the Planning Committee, said the UK Regional Branch, is mobilising resources to make victory certain for the CPP.
Professor Hagan is scheduled to meet with Pan Africanist groups and trade union organisations as well as the Ghanaian community in the UK.
He is expected back home Thursday, this week.
