Cop who shot himself dead not linked to theft on Osagyefo Barge – Police

The Policeman who shot himself dead in the Western Region was not interdicted and not under any investigations for theft, the Public Affairs Directorate of the Police Service has clarified,

There had been earlier reports that the deceased Policeman, Sgt Fuseini Mohamuda with badge no. 37400 who killed himself on Saturday was one of the four police officers under interdiction and being investigated for alleged theft on the Osagyefo Power Barge.

But the Director of Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service, D.S.P Shiela Abayie Buckman told Kasapafmonline.com that the deceased officer had no link to the theft case.

“He’s not part of the people who have been interdicted, in fact, he wasn’t part of the suspects.”

She added the investigations continues into the circumstances leading to the police officer taking his life.

Sgt. Sgt Fuseini Mohamuda before he committed suicide left a note that read “I cannot take this disgrace.”
