Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, the parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Krowor Constituency has donated a set of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) and food items to her constituents amid the coronavirus outbreak.
In her bid to support hospitals to fight COVID-19 in Krowor, she presented 150 pieces of nose masks, 500 pair of gloves, packs of assorted drinks, water, as well as gallons of liquid soap and sanitizers to the Nungua Polyclinic.
Naa Momo Lartey also donated sacks of rice, boxes of vegetable oil packs pr assorted drinks, sanitizers, water and tissue papers to some selected orphanages in the Krowor Municipality to help cushion the economic impact faced by these institutions during the lockdown of the Greater Accra Region.
The Nungua Divisional Police Command was also supported by the NDC aspirant with some PPEs to aid the enforcement of the lockdown.
Speaking to the media at the presentation, Naa Momo Lartey acknowledged the role of the security personnel in Ghana's fight against COVID-19.
She said: "Resource is a major constraint to anybody especially during these times, therefore, this presentation is to aid the police service in their line of duty."
"I want to make sure my people are safe from COVID-19 but I have to ensure that those who interact with them often are also safe", she added.
Agnes Naa Momo Lartey's gestures has also been extended to all taxi and trotro stations in the Krowor Constituency.
She donated veronica buckets and hand sanitizers to all the stations coupled with education on how to stay safe from the coronavirus.
