None of the patients has been on ventilator yet,” in relation to the covid-19 cases, Health Minister Kwaku Agyemang Manu has revealed.

There are reports that the country will need adequate ventilators more than the nation currently has in stock at several public/private facilities amid the spike in cases.

Many say the 200 currently available could be insufficient for case management in very dire moments and life threatening situations.

But, addressing a presser on Wednesday, the Health Minister downplayed the need for more ventilators adding “we’re okay with the source that we have”

Ghana’s confirmed cases in relation to the covid-19 outbreak currently stand at 195, the Health Minister, Kwaku Agyemang Manu has announced.

At least 38 people have recovered and discharged while some 49 are receiving treatment from home, according to the health Minister.

Addressing a Presser organized by the Information Ministry on Wednesday, the Health Minister said 106 of the cases are from routine surveillance, adding that cases from those on mandatory quarantine remain 89.
