Parliament has ordered two sitting Members of Parliament to self-quarantine upon their return from coronavirus infested countries.
The lawmakers were asked to self-quarantine on Thursday, 19 March 2020, Class 91.3FM’s Parliamentary correspondent, Ekow Annan, reported.
The two are MP for Binduri, Dr Robert Kuganab-Lem and Ayawaso East MP, Alhaji Naser Toure.
The legislators are on trips abroad and expected back into the country tomorrow, Friday, 20 March 2020.
Majority leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu also urged some staff of Parliament and their spouses who have been exposed to the virus to self-quarantine for the mandatory two weeks as prescribed by the World Health Organisation.
Ghana has so far recorded 11 cases of the coronavirus.
