Correspondence from Eastern Region:

Some public offices in Koforidua participated in the National Day for Fasting and Prayer as declared by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Making an observational visit to some of the institutions in the New Juaben South Municipality, the Ghanaweb observed that staff members of the New Juaben South office of the Ghana Education Service were already in the sanctimonious mood at around 10 am.

They prayed and sang fervently pleading on God to have mercy on Ghana and to secure it from the Coronavirus.

They also prayed for the progress of the economic situation in the country.

When the Ghanaweb reporter got to the Ghana Revenue Authority premises, mellifluous singing of gospel songs could be heard from their yard.

When he got closer, it was evident that the staff members had all come out during break at midday to pray for mother Ghana.

More information gathered indicated that quite a lot more organizations met to pray for Ghana in their fasting mood.

One key thing the Ghanaweb observed was that though the staff members had gathered, they still maintained a good meters away from each other.
