Aide to a former president of Ghana, Joyce Bawah Mogtari has been served a swift rebuke after casting doubt on the number of coronavirus recovery cases Ghana recorded yesterday, May 15.
The country saw its highest single-day recovery of COVID-19 patients when the Ghana Health Service announced the recovery of 790 persons bringing the total to 1,460.
However, Joyce Bawah Mogtari finds it difficult to believe more people have been healed of the virus calling for a probe to authenticate the recoveries.
Her tweet, emphasized with a single exclamation, drew criticisms on Twitter.
“How the hell did 790 more people recover overnight! We need to put these numbers to strict proof!"
Several people chimed in on the tweet condemning her statement as one that reflected fear instead of excitement.
One social media user said “You said there was no coronavirus but the government only wants to spend $100m. Then you said the government instituted lockdown because they want to rig election. Then you said the numbers are low, the government is hiding figures. Now you say you don’t understand why people are recovering.” Sometyms some of yu look like intellectuals, but you sound so dumb! People recovered and you're saying overnight. If 1000 had died by now you would've organized 1001 press conferences to jubilate. Go and investigate when your relative gets and do recover. Dirty politics. Heartless people. The sufferings and death of others probably gives them joy to do their politics.
Below are some disparaging tweets
Did yu ask for a proof whn the Cases jumped to 4000+ overnight?
But for recovery di3, yu need proof,
Most of you shld remove that ur "Political" Lenses and see the reality, we're talking abt Pple's life here!

You ppl will confess one by one, your jubilation over the increases of the case will fall on you! You ppl are always the first to post the updated cases, but question the recoveries. You wish thousands will die a day so you can use it to do politics. God is putting you on shame
