The Judicial Secretary, Emmanuel Owusu Ansah, has refuted allegations that Mrs. Elizabeth Anderson Yebuah, former chairman of one of the circuit tribunals in Accra (Cocoa Affairs), has been dismissed from the judicial service. Mrs. Yebuah is alleged to have collected ?80 million cedis bribe from an accused person that she was trying. The Judicial Secretary says although the former tribunal chairperson has been interdicted, pending investigations into the allegation, it does not mean that she has been dismissed.
An Accra based private newspaper on Monday, published that Mrs Anderson Yebuah has been dismissed (READ). But Mr. Ansah told the Ghana News Agency that the Judicial Council is still meeting on the matter and would soon make its findings public.
