Couple donates books to school

Nsoatre (B/A), Feb 09, GNA - Mr and Mrs Geoff Hamilson, a business couple based in Toronto, Canada, on Wednesday donated books worth eight million cedis to the Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School at Nsoatre. The books included textbooks; English storybooks, encyclopaedias and dictionaries.
Making the presentation Mrs Hamilson, a citizen of Nsoatre, said the donation was in line with their determination to help improve education in the area.
She advised the students to use the books judiciously so that students who would come after them could also benefit. Receiving the books, Mr Kofi Agyemang, the Assistant Headmaster, thanked the donors and said especially the story books would help the students to improve their English.
