Court Orders ?Parliament Protocol Officer? To Surrender Passports

The woman who posed as a Protocol Officer of Ghana?s Parliament, Ms. Innocentia Kudzoto and allegedly collected over 60,000 dollars from several people with the promise to secure them visa appeared in court again today.

She appeared before an Accra Circuit Court presided over by Mrs. Elizabeth Ankomah. The Judge ordered that Innocentia should surrender all the passports in her possession to the court, at the next sitting for the complainants to be given back their passports. The Judge has also ordered Innocentia to pay all the people she had collected ?visa? ? connection money from on installment basis till she pays all the amounts to all the complaints involved in the case.

Ms. Innocentia Kudzoto pleaded with the court to give her sometime to prepare and start paying the debt since she was just from remand on the 27th of last month. The case has therefore been adjourned to 6th September to bring her first payment to be given to one complainant and also bring all passports in her possession to the court.
