Tema, Sept. 14, GNA - The Tema Circuit Court 'A' has remanded Yussif Issah Maica, alias Kilamowa for robbing a beer bar keeper at Tulaku at Ashaiman of 500,000 cedis. His plea was not taken, and he will re-appear on Monday, October 11. Prosecuting, Police Inspector Sarah Aggrey Acquah told the court presided over by Mr Charles Asiedu that, on July 23, this year, at 1100 hours, the accused person in the company of another, now at large, walked into Bamboo View Drinking Bar at Ashaiman, and bought 2,000 cedis worth of Alomo Bitters. Inspector Acquah said the accused person and his friend later came and bought one thousand cedis worth of cigarettes and demanded 9,000.00 cedis change, when they have not given the barman any money. The prosecution said when the barman refused, the accused person pulled a screwdriver and stabbed him, after which he went behind the counter, collected 500,000 cedis from the drawer and bolted. Inspector Acquah said the matter was reported to police to the Ashaiman Police, who upon a tip-off arrested the accused person on August 10. In his caution statement he admitted the offence, the prosecution added.
