Court remands two juveniles accused of killing a 16-year-old boy

The Asokwa District Court has remanded two juveniles into custody following their alleged involvement in the killing of a 16-year-old boy at Anloga in the Oforikrom Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The incident occurred on Monday, November 4, 2024, when an altercation led to the main suspect, a 16-year-old girl, allegedly stabbing the victim.

The second suspect, a 15-year-old girl, has been accused of abetting the murder, according to a report by citinewsroom.com.

During their appearance in court on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, the main suspect was charged with murder and causing injury to the deceased, while the second suspect was charged with abetment of murder.

The brother of the deceased, Victor Owusu-Ansah, who spoke after the court proceedings, reaffirmed his confidence in the country's justice system.

The hearing continues on November 20, 2024.
