The current economic condition of Ghanaians is far better than under the erstwhile National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration according to the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Public Sector Reforms, Mr. Thomas Kusi Boafo.
“I must be very honest to Ghanaians the economic management of the current government is far better than that of NDC. …no doubt about it even though people’s expectation are higher”, he stated.
“Like it or not the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has done well in seven months into office more than eight years the NDC was in government”, the former Economics Lecturer with the Kumasi Technical University indicated on Kumasi-based Otec FM.
According to the NPP sympathizer, the Akufo-Addo government within the shortest time in office has been able to remove financial service tax and employed workers despite International Monetary Fund (IMF’s) conditions bonding the past government not to do so.
“For five months Ghana has registered trade surplus telling you that the country’s reserves now have moved to three months and we are getting better “, the political analyst and social commentator during panel discussion on the station claimed.
According to the incoming CEO, due to better policies put in place by the government, banks have started giving out loans at low interest rates to individuals interested in setting up their own businesses.
“Even yesterday four banks called me for a loan. Some sent me text messages they are giving out loans to customers and I should come for it with low interest rate with no collateral”, he claimed.
“I can tell you that from the year 2018 going, Ghana’s economy will be one of the best in the whole of the West Africa”, Mr. Thomas Kusi Boafo boasted.
