Kumasi, Ghana, -- Mr Anthony A. Williams, Mayor of Washington DC, USA and his entourage including Ambassador Koby Koomson, former Ghana's Ambassador to the USA who lives in the Washington Metro area, USA paid a courtesy call on Otumfour Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene at the Manhyia Palace. Mayor Williams and entourage also accompanied by the Accra Mayor, Mr Stanley Nii Adjiri Blankson, had earlier paid a courtesy call on Madam Patricia Appiagyei, Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive and Mr Sampson Kwaku Boafo, Ashanti Regional Minister and a mini-durbar was held in their honour.

The DC Mayor and entourage visited Ghana as part of a four-day visit primarily to establish a sister-city relations with Accra.
