The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has announced that electronic roadworthy stickers will be issued from December 1, this year.
The stickers with barcodes will replace the current roadworthy stickers.
The machine-readable stickers will aid the security agencies especially the Motor Transport and Traffic Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service in tracking offending vehicles, officials adduced.
Immediate roadworthy checks can also be done on vehicles on the new system, they added.
The stickers were unveiled on Tuesday, November 4 by the Chief Executive Officer of the Authority, Rudolph Perfect Berkley.
