The Presidential Candidate of the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP) Mr. Dan Lartey has stated that his inability to provide agents at the various polling stations has caused him and his party a decisive win.

Speaking in an interview with NCS in Accra, Mr. Lartey alleged that the absence of his agents at the polling stations gave room for cheating. He said, "because my agents were not there, the figures that are now coming out are not what they should have been, because by now l think l should be winning the election". He confessed that he could not raise the funds to pay the agents to monitor the elections for his party.

Asked why he thought he should have been winning the elections by now, the GCPP Flagbearer told NCS that he has been to every part of the nation during his campaign tour and his concept of domestication has been widely received. "If my party agents were to have been there, the figures been attributed to other parties could have been mine" Mr. Lartey said with a lot of emotions. The 74-year-old Flagbearer of the GCPP announced his determination and readiness to prepare the grounds for the next elections if he does not win this one. In his answer to why he still would want to contest elections at the age of 78 and become president, Mr. Lartey explained that he has a philosophy, which must be put into practice.

"Domestication itself is not just a mere, it is a philosophical talk, that concept must be philophised", he told NCS. He disclosed that he has already invited "the institute of high learning" to probe into domestication. The GCPP Flagbearer who would be remembered for his concept of domestication asked that the concept is not regarded as "just a mere political stuff", but must be taken serious and thought in schools.

Mr. Lartey expressed some level of satisfaction at the performance of the party saying, "if it is taking the third position then it is a good thing", adding that anything can happen. He however assured that he would congratulate the eventual winner of the elections.
