David Asamoah appointed as new ECG Managing Director

Board Chairman of the ECG, Alexander Afenyo Markin has announced the appointment of David Asamoah to serve as the acting managing director of the ECG.

The decision was made following an emergency board meeting held on September 26, 2024.

ECG Board Chairman, Afeyno Markin assured Ghanaians and power consumers that there will be no power interruptions following the recent changes within the company.

"The resignation of the former MD will not affect power supply to Ghanaians irrespective of the changes within the company," Alexander Afenyo-Markin told journalists in Accra.

His remarks come in the wake of the resignation of Samuel Dubik Mahama on September 25, 2024, who cited personal reasons for his decision.
