David Oscar pleads with govt for improved roads to Obuor Tabiri

Ghanaian reggae artiste David Oscar Dogbe has taken to the latest episode of his Travel Diaries Series to highlight the untapped potential of Obuor Tabiri, a picturesque mountain which is the most visible landmark of Koforidua in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

While praising the mounting's unique vantage point, which offers a panoramic view of Koforidua, Oscar expressed deep concern over the poor state of the road leading to the site.

"Obuor Tabiri is a hidden gem, a place of breathtaking beauty. It's the only spot in the Eastern Region where you can see the entire city of Koforidua at a glance. However, the road to this magnificent site is in dire need of repair. It's a significant barrier to tourism and hinders the full potential of this area," David Oscar lamented.

His plea comes as a call to action for the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture and other relevant government agencies to prioritise the development of infrastructure in such tourist hotspots.

By improving the road network, the government can not only boost tourism in the region but also create economic opportunities for local communities.

Obuor Tabiri, with its stunning scenery and rich cultural heritage, has the potential to become a major tourist attraction. However, its accessibility remains a major challenge.

David's advocacy underscores the importance of investing in tourism infrastructure to unlock the full potential of Ghana's diverse cultural and natural landscapes.
