Days of armed robberies over in Northern Region - Minister declares

The Northern Regional Minister, Salifu Sa-eed has declared war on armed robbers and other criminal gangs tormenting residents of the region indicating that their days are over.

In the last couple of weeks, there have been several cases of robberies with recorded deaths and injuries with the police themselves not spared in the activities of these miscreants.

At the launch of Operation Calm Life, he called on security agencies to deal ruthlessly with persons engaged in criminal acts observing that residents need to go about their activities without fear following the activities of these ruthless robbers.

He bemoaned the fact that in recent times, a number of lives have been lost through robbery operations calling on residents to volunteer information to security agencies in order to apprehend persons who are in communities perpetrating various crimes.
