Dec. 27 and Jan. 2 declared public holiday

Accra, Dec. 19, GNA - President John Agyekum Kufuor by Executive Instrument has declared Tuesday December 27 2005 and Monday January 2 2006 as public holidays in view of the fact that Christmas day December 25 2005 and New Year's Day January 1 fall on Sundays.

A statement signed by Papa Owusu Ankomah, Minister of The Interior, said the days should be observed as such throughout the country.
