A MAN of God in Kumasi who claimed he correctly predicted the winner of the 2008 general election has prophesied that this year’s presidential election will go into a run-off between the NPP and NDC.
Prophet Baccarious John Kanttle said the winner of the polls would amass 51% percent votes during the second round, adding that contrary to concerns expressed by many Ghanaians, the election would be free, fair, transparent and peaceful.
The 37 year old prophet who has been in ministry for about 12 years however refused to mention the name of the winning party, promising to do so after the first round.
He hinted that between the NPP and NDC, the political party which approached the election with a united front would win.
The prophet said God revealed to him two years ago who the next president would be and that he had already met and congratulated that person.
He said had been praying quietly over the vision but felt this was the right time to make it public so that when his prediction came true many would believe that God was working through him.
Prophet Kanttle, who is the founder and leader of Christ the King Miracle Worship Center at Trede near Kumasi, said the campaign messages of the various political parties would determine which party would win the election.
According to him, one of the largest political parties in the country had broken a certain covenant within that same party, an action which would result in that party losing the polls.
On the parliamentary elections, he said the party that would win most of the seats in parliament would win in 128 to 160 constituencies with the minority party amassing 110 to 138 seats.
He predicted that smaller parties like the NDP, CPP, PNC, PPP and those that would contest as independent candidates could win a minimum of one to 5 seats.
The prophet claimed the NPP would win in six regions in terms of parliamentary seats mentioning the Eastern, Greater Accra, Western, Central, Brong Ahafo and Ashanti regions.
Prophet Kanttle said the NDC would also top in four regions including the Volta, Upper East, Upper West and Northern regions.
Both parties would win more votes in the aforementioned regions in the presidential elections as well, he said.
Prophet Kanttle admonished the Electoral Commission, media, security agencies and all Ghanaians to comport themselves and contribute to make the polls peaceful, reiterating that the revelation would surely come to pass.
