Former Youth Organiser of the main opposition New Patriotic Party, Anthony Karbo, has described as inappropriate, the description of the party’s 2012 flagbearer as a “cheap opposition leader”.
Party member and Executive Director of think tank Danquah institute, Gabby Asare Otchere Darko described Akufo-Addo as “cheap leader” on Tuesday in his quest to portray him as a peace loving person.
He said the defeated presidential candidate who is challenging the validity of the 2012 election in court could have chosen the “expensive option” of resorting to the streets to demand justice.
Anthony Karbo speaking on Breakfast XYZ said though he agrees with the intentions of Gabby Asare Otchere Darko, the language used could have been better.
“My only disagreement with Gabby was the phrase cheap opposition leader; I don’t think it was good communication to describe such a respected individual in that manner,” Anthony Karbo said.
