Diploma course for traditional healers

Kumasi, April 28, GNA - The Ghana National Association of Traditional Healers (GNATH), in collaboration with the College of Integrative Medical Sciences at Ejisu, would in May, start a diploma course in herbal medicine for its members.

Mr Kwame Asante-Boakye, Kumasi District Chairman of GNATH, said the purpose of the programme was to develop and standardise the knowledge of African herbal medicine to an appreciable level. It is also to streamline herbal medicine preparation among members for increased productivity whiles ensuring quality products, said Mr Asante-Boakye in an interview with the Ghana News Agency on Monday.

He said to ensure good practices, GNATH in collaboration with the National Board for Small-Scale Industries (NBSSI) recently held a workshop to sensitise members on leadership and management skills.
