Accra The Managing Director of the Islamic Development Foundation (IDF), Alhaji A. Kadir Sulemana, today called for effective and regular interaction among government, professionals, traditional and religious leaders to ensure sustained socio-economic development. Speaking to the GRi in Accra, Alhaji Sulemana said under the leadership of President Jerry John Rawlings, the country enjoys peace and stability. "What we need now as a people aiming at a common goal, is to move in unison to mobilize all available natural, human and financial resources to build a peaceful, stable and economically sound society which every citizen would be proud of". Alhaji Sulemana appealed to wealthy people to go into the production of food and industrial raw materials instead of concentrating on trading. This way, he said, they will be contributing positively towards solving the country's unemployment problems and thereby halt the drift of jobless youths to the cities.
