For many, the Electoral Commission's decision to disqualify some 12 presidential hopefuls from contesting the December electios was a new phenomenon.
While some saw it as indication of a leader who wanted to follow due process and ensure that the law was followed to the letter, others described it as a sheer show of arrogance by new EC chair, Charlotte Osei, particularly considering the modus operandi of her predecessor, Dr. Kwadwo Afari Gyan.
But was the decision to disqualify Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, Dr. Edward Mahama and several others really new to the country's body politic?
Here is a story of John Ackah Blay Miezah, a con man who was disqualified from contesting presidential elections in the country.
