My attention has been drawn to the criminal conduct of some unscrupulous individuals using my name, Hon Cynthia Mamle Morrison, and picture as their profile on social media particularly on whatapp and facebook to defraud unsuspecting members of the general public through various dubious means, in my name.

I wish to first of all state for the avoidance of doubt and without equivocation that I do not operate those social media accounts nor have I sanctioned anyone to do same on my behalf. All such accounts are FAKE. As a matter of fact, I do NOT currently have an active social media account and therefore cannot be said to be interacting with people via any such media platforms.

I also do not use any social media account to transact business with people or solicit for favors of any kind either for myself or for others. Anything to the contrary, can thus only be the activities of fraudsters, for which all and sundry should be wary of.

For emphasis, I wish to state once again that members of the general public are being cautioned to DESIST from indulging these persons because you do so at your own peril and I bear absolutely no responsibility for any damages.

Nonetheless, I take serious view of the activities of these fraudsters and have accordingly reported the matter to the relevant security agencies of the State for appropriate actions.
