Professor Stephen Kwaku Asare has descended heavily on Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Agyapong, for attacking ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas over his latest ‘’Number 12’’ expose at the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The law professor who is popularly referred to as Kwaku Azar, believes the attempt by the legislator to attack Anas’ integrity, is uncalled for and has therefore called on Ghanaians to resist any attempt to by any individual to prevent the public from watching the video.

Although Kennedy Agyapong is slamming Anas over his modus operandi and describing same as a set up and an invasion of privacy, the Ghanaian law professor based in the United States said: ‘’The bottomline is that Anas Aremeyaw Anas records and shows us what we already know or should reasonably suspect. IN the view of the lawyer, ‘’He [Anas] does not make up corrupt activities or compels anyone to engage in them.

Rather, he targets ongoing corrupt activities and uses undercover tools to record them. He basically does what Law Enforcement should do but fails to do.’’ A post which was posted on his official Facebook paged added: ‘’The attempts by Kennedy Agyepong to unmask him is not only misplaced but must fail.

It is, of course, amusing, if not fanciful, that Agyepong has suddenly decided to tell us about so called criminal and, sadly, amorous activities of Anas.

Not only should we dismiss these matters but we must ask why now? Nor should we lose sight of the irony in his asking us to accept the kotokiokos methods that he presumably used to gather his evidence on Anas while commanding us to reject Anas’s incontrovertible video evidence!! We need more, not fewer, Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ to uncover and control the deadly financial rot that has left our economy in a comatose. Da Yie!’’
