Sheik Ahmed Abdul Salam, Northern Regional Chief Imam has advised Muslims in the Region not to go back to their bad habits but to continue to lead holy lives as they did during the past 30 days.

He gave the advice when he led Muslims in prayer at the Jubilee Park in Tamale on Wednesday as part of Eid-ul-Fitr Celebrations, which marked the end of Ramadan.

Sheik Abdul Salam emphasised that leading holy lives was not only a religious obligation but a requirement to promote peaceful coexistence and national development.

He, therefore, urged all to eschew vices and live peacefully with one another.

He also urged parents to take good care of their children to enable them to realize their potential saying children were a gift from Allah.

Mr Salifu Saeed, Northern Regional Minister, expressed government’s appreciation to all for their support, which culminated in the resolution of the Dagbon chieftaincy conflict.

Mr Saeed called on all to support efforts to promote peace in Dagbon to accelerate development in the area.
