Doctor Dies As A Result Of Evil Strike Action!

If atheist Adom Winful and handful of his striking doctor-clique thought their needless strike action would affect only ‘ordinary’ doctoring public and ruling politicians of the day, their ill-thought-out action has boomeranged.

The Informer has it on authority that a doctor, who was involved in a horrific motor accident over the weekend, and was rushed to Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, couldn’t make it. He lost his life.

The information gathered has it that, for the needless strike action by his professional colleagues, and maybe including the victim, an emergency operation could have saved his life.

Thanks to a heartless ‘fatwa’ of Dr. Adom Winful, the leader of the striking doctors asking doctors not to attend to even emergency cases; their colleague doctor, who needed urgent medical attention, had failed to get the attention he deserved and so died when being rushed to a private clinic.

The Informer’s sources say that the matter has become a source of great embarrassment to the medical fraternity with doctors keeping the tight lip on it.

A doctor, who spoke to The Informer on strict condition of anonymity, said he is ashamed that Adom Winful and the Ghana Medical Association (GMA) were acting in such a callous manner.

“This is not what we were trained to do: we trained to save lives and not to kill”, the doctor said.

According to the source, he has refused to obey the orders and is still at post attending to patients.

“Adom Winful is almost on retirement and so can afford to misbehave. Some of us are now beginning our career and will not want to dent our image with this wicked line of action”, the seemingly disturbed doctor added.

In a related development, groups are calling for the prosecution of Dr. Adom Winful because of his unprofessional and evil-minded “all die be die” statement to the effect that, “people die anyway” and so if their strike action results in more needless deaths, it is ok.

However, further investigation into the matter reveals that, the dying doctor was sent to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital by a good Samaritan, who did not know that the person he was helping was a doctor and so once he found out that Korle-Bu was not prepared to help, he chose to take the dying man to a private hospital only for the doctor to be declared dead on arrival.

When The Informer contacted the private hospital (name withheld), as well as the family of the deceased, they pleaded to be left out of the public discourse, especially as doctors have come under heavy attack from the public as a result of the Adom-Winful-induced evil and heartless strike action.

The above sad occurrence should, therefore, serve as a great lesson to Dr. Winful and his GMA, since they have no control over their own lives even as doctors.
