Does Health really Needs Technology; I met the Experts.

Mon, 17 Nov 2014 Source: Akpah Prince

Tuesday 28th October was an awesome day in my life especially as in

when you have that fulfillment after the opportunity to witness and

co-organise

the first edition of Tech Meets Health a flagship program of The Sangy

Foundation powered by ProMobileGH.

The essence of the program was to create a platform where technology

experts and health expert can connect solely to discuss issues in

health solvable by technology and finding lasting solutions to them

which in itself will go a long way to help the good people of Ghana

and humanity at large.

Before the session, we had a splendid health check-up and consultation

with the Sangy Nursing Services and an amazing massage and

chiropractic care

from Healing Hands Massage to keep our spine healthy. Guess what, all

came at a zero cost.

Hosted by Reach for Change Game Changer, Founder/Vice President of The

Sangy Foundation, Sara Nana Yeboah and CEO of ProMobileGH, Daniel

Antwi,

the topic for discussion was centered on the Theme: Should Health Meet Tech.

Dr. Annie Gbezie, a Medical Doctor from the KorleBu Teaching Hospital

was so exceptional in her talk as she laid out the problems being

faced in her sector, the way she is solving them with technology and

how others can also utilize that same resources. She made notice of

having Google as her senior doctor, medical Facebook groups and pages

as her companions and would welcome more innovation to make her work

so easy and effective.

Representing the Tech was the CEO of 360GH, Rita Kusi who has a vast

knowledge on what the tech industry can actually do to help the

several problems in the health sector. She shared knowledge on already

available applications on the internet and contributed immensely to

the discussion.

Discussions spanned across on how to improve the health sector with

amazing contributions from the participants.

After the event, I networked papa just to be in touch with our amazing

participants and speakers’ whiles enjoying myself with the best

refreshment and that’s why you don’t need to miss the next edition.

All participants

were also awarded certificates to evident their attendance of the first edition.

Tech Meets Health will be a monthly interaction and networking event where

Technology and Health personalities connect every last Tuesday of every month.
