Ghanaian rapper, Samuel Adu Frimpong, widely known as Medikal, has pleaded with the incoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) government to care about the citizens more than themselves and that they shouldn’t abuse power.
In an interview with Nana Romeo on December 19, 2024, Medikal suggested that if they are making decisions, they should put the citizens into consideration.
“They should think about the country and the citizens more than themselves. They are coming to work, but they shouldn’t abuse power,” he said.
The rapper added that, “They shouldn’t think that they are in the position to feel too supreme and control everything and take the decision for themselves. When they are making decisions, they should make decisions that will benefit the citizens in Ghana, not what they feel like they are entitled to do, and that’s all I ask.
“Nobody is perfect; sometimes I will do something, but I might not be mindful of what I’m doing. At the same time, I’m a human, and I’m bound to make mistakes. This is something no one can control; even the richest man in the world can’t control everything he wants to achieve. People usually think I like talking my mind, but basically, that’s how I am, which I think people have a problem with.”
