The Office of the Special Prosecutor has cautioned Ghanaians against selling their votes to politicians in the upcoming polls on December 7, 2024.

In a series of flyers posted on its official social media pages to promote wise voting, the OSP stated that selling one's vote is equivalent to selling one's integrity.

The OSP explained that votes are not commodities that can be bought, emphasising that voting is both a right and a civic duty.

It also highlighted the significant value of an individual's vote in electing a leader.

One of the OSP's flyers reads, “Don’t be bought; you are not waakye. Vote for integrity.”

Another flyer features the message, “My vote no be for sale. Charley shine your eyes,” encouraging citizens to stay vigilant and make wise choices by rejecting monetary offers and gifts aimed at inducing or influencing their voting decisions.

Ghanaians will cast their votes on Saturday, December 7, 2024, to elect a new president and members of parliament for the next four years.
