Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Yaw Adomako Baafi has drawn a line between the health status of the President of the Republic, Nana Akufo-Addo and his Vice, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

“God created them differently. The Vice President gets tired after working [but] Nana Akufo-Addo never gets tired even after long working hours”, he revealed.

“All have different destinies. …the President could work for 24 hours and he will not collapse… Should Bawumia attempt, he will go weak”, the Communication Director spoke on Friday Edition of Kumasi-based Nhyira FM morning show hosted by Papa Nyameke.

Dr Bawumia had been out of the country for 12 days on medical leave. He was said to have reported sick and was advised to take a break, however, details of the sickness were not disclosed.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) demanded full disclosure on the health status of the Vice President and accused the government of covering up the extent of sickness.

“Everyone has given his view and it is all good. We all sometimes go on medical leave and this is what the Vice President Dr. Bawumia did”. Yaw Adomako Baafi, therefore, accused the presidency of mismanaging information regarding the health of Dr. Bawumia

“It was not stroke or anything that could kill him. All that people were saying were not true to some of us who are closer to him”, he told host.
